I have worn many hats in my adult life. I have been a wife, a mother of two, a grandmother of three, a scientific and medical translator, a PhD scientist, with 20 years’ experience in basic research aimed at understanding the molecular basis of diseases such as cancer, and 7 years’ experience as a medical communicator. I authored and co-authored 21 articles which were published in prestigious scientific journals. I recently retired from my scientific career and the corporate world to become a Health and Life Coach.
This is how it happened…
In my late 40s, a mix of pre-menopause and a nasty divorce – with all the accompanying emotions…anger, resentment, fear, anxiety, shame, loneliness, sadness, and a stress level that became unmanageable – resulted in a 30-pound weight gain. I hated looking at myself in the mirror, I felt insecure in my body, unattractive, I looked older, dull, tired.
After two attempts at dieting, I lost the weight, but regained it after a short period.
I became aware of a program that I followed religiously. I started to exercise and manage my stress. Within about 3 months, most of the fat melted off my body, I bounced energetically out of bed every morning, had more clarity than I had for a while, and I got my sexy back! I started getting lots of compliments, people saying that I looked younger, fabulous, and totally transformed.
I became passionate about helping women achieve the same transformation for themselves. This is what inspired me, after my retirement from the corporate world, to study a program that “fine-tuned” the approach that worked for me in the past, and to become a Certified Health and Life Coach. I wanted to learn the tools to share this transformational approach with many more women and raise awareness of the fact that, although our genes do play a role, about 90% of the aging process is largely dependent on our lifestyle choices.
My coaching approach
I use a transformational coaching method based on neurolinguistic programming (“Intuitive Coaching”), which allows me to change my clients’ experience without them having to remember to be different. As a master of habit and lifestyle change, I am uniquely positioned to help clients really understand and transform their relationship with food, their body, their lifestyle, and who they’re being in the world.
Clients experience weight loss, increased energy, decreased stress, increased confidence, and they feel and look young, sexy, vibrant, and fabulous, without restrictive diets, surgeries, or tons of supplements. They shine in the workplace and in their personal life.
